  • 2tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 medium red onion, peeled and diced
  • 400grams green lentils, drained
  • 2teaspoons garam masala
  • 200grams carrots, peeled and grated
  • 1 egg
  • 75grams breadcrumbs
  • 100grams feta

Description

These carrot, lentil and feta burgers are a filling vegetarian lunch or dinner option.

Method

Step 1 of 2

Pre-heat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Heat the oil in a large pan on medium heat and cook the onions for 3-4 minutes to soften. Add the lentils and garam masala and cook for 2 minutes. Tip into a bowl.

Step 2 of 2

Add the grated carrot, egg and breadcrumbs and mix well. Fold in the feta and shape into 4 thick patties. Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes until golden and crisp.
