  • 2tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 150grams frozen peas
  • 10grams parsley, finely chopped, divided
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1kilograms potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2tablespoons butter

Description

Rework the staple bolognese sauce into a hearty and comforting cottage pie.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Heat up the bolognese in a pot and bring to boil. Season with worcestershire sauce and mix. Tip in the frozen peas and half of the parsley and let the peas cook through. Set aside.

Step 2 of 3

Preheat the over to 200°C. In a pot of salted water, cook the diced potatoes until the potatoes are tender. Drain the potatoes and return it to the same pot. Add the part of the cream and heat the pot again. Mash the potatoes using a potato masher, adding some salt and the butter. Keep adding cream until you have a spreadable consistency.

Step 3 of 3

Fill a baking dish halfway with the bolognese sauce and top with the mashed potatoes. Use the tines of the fork to spread the masked potatoes and to create uneven ridges. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the mashed potatoes are golden brown on top.
