Description

Make the perfect authentic French crepes with this easy yet failsafe recipe. On the table in 30 minutes, create a memorable pancake day or impressive breakfast spread.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Sift the flour into a bowl. Add caster sugar and salt and mix to combine.

Step 2 of 4

Add eggs, melted butter, vanilla and a little of the lukewarm milk. Whisk to combine. Continue to add milk little by little, whisking each time.

Step 3 of 4

Grease the pan with melted butter and ladle a spoonful of the batter mixture into the pan. Move the pan to ensure the batter covers the pan. Cook over medium heat for about 2 mins each side. Flip or turn over with a spatula. The mixture should give you around 12 crepes.

Step 4 of 4

Fill with your chosen savoury or sweet filling. Adding the filling while in the crepe is cooking on the second side is best for melted cheese or gooey chocolate.
