  • 1 medium leek, thinkly sliced
  • 80grams parmesan, grated
  • 100grams butter
  • 60grams flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup cream
  • 300grams artichokes, store bought jar and drained
  • 1tablespoons canola oil
  • 80grams panko bread crumbs, grated

Description

This bake recipe has so many aromatic and smooth textures and is very moorish.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Pan fry the leeks in a pan on a medium heat with the canola oil for 2 minutes turning half way through. Drain the artichokes and add them to the pan with the leeks and fry for a further 2 minutes.

Step 2 of 4

Add the butter to the pan and once melted fully and incrementally add the flour. Once full combined, gradually add the milk and cream while stirring.

Step 3 of 4

Cook this out for a further 10 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken. Remove the ingredients from the pan and transfer to 4 separate gratin dishes.

Step 4 of 4

Sprinkle the breadcrumbs and grated parmesan over the dishes and grill for 2 minutes before serving.
