- 2tablespoons plain flour
- 40grams butter
- 1 1/2 cup reduced fat milk
- 425grams tuna in brine, drained and flaked
- 2 cup fusilli pasta
- 2 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 4 cm lengths
- 2tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 1/2 cup parmesan, grated
- 1 pinch pepper (for seasoning)
- 1 cup extra tasty cheese, grated
- 1 pinch sea salt ground (to taste)

Method
Step 1 of 6
Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly grease a 20cm-square (6 cup) baking dish.

Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water according to packet instructions. Add asparagus for the last 2 minutes of cooking time. Drain pasta and asparagus and transfer to a large bowl.

Combine cheeses in a bowl and reserve half a cup.
Step 4 of 6
Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in flour until smooth. Stir over heat for 1 minute. Remove from heat and gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Return to heat and stir until sauce boils and thickens. Add cheeses and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Add tuna, lemon rind and juice and parsley to pasta and asparagus. Pour over cheese sauce and stir to combine.

Transfer to a dish and top with reserved cheese. Bake for about 30 minutes or until golden.
