  • 1kilograms large green banana prawns, peel, leaving tails intact and devein
  • 1/2 cup continental parsley
  • 160grams crusty bread (to serve)
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 pinch dried chilli

Description

Take your seafood to the next level with this quick and easy garlic prawns recipe. Serve with crusty bread or incorporate into a full seafood spread.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Peel prawns leaving tails intact and devein.

Step 2 of 3

Heat oil and butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add 4-6 crushed garlic cloves, prawns and a pinch dried chilli and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute then reduce heat to low.

Step 3 of 3

Add parsley and cook for 2 minutes until prawns curl and change colour. Spoon onto serving plates and serve with crusty bread. Note: To devein a prawn, use a small sharp knife to make a slit along the middle of the back to expose the dark vein, use your fingers to carefully pull the vein through the opening at the head end to remove.
