Instruction tip
Tip:Puree melon flesh offcuts, then freeze the juice in ice-cube trays to later pop into your water. Alternatively, blitz leftover melon flesh into juices and smoothies. Reserve the watermelon rind and turn it into a pickle.
Method
Step 1 of 2
Trim rounded ends off melons so they sit flat. Cut 1 watermelon into a 13cm-high x 13cm-wide circle. Cut remaining watermelon into a 12cm-high x 12cm-wide circle. Cut melonball into a 12cm-high x 10cm-wide circle.
Step 2 of 2
On a board, stack melons from largest to smallest to form a three-tiered cake. Decorate by using toothpicks to secure berries, grapes and mint to cake. Serve.
