Description
This gratin is cheesy, creamy with a dash of spice.
Method
Step 1 of 5
Pre-heat the oven to 180 °C. Peel and slice the sweet potato as thinly as possible.

Set aside 60g of cheddar cheese for later, add the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and combine fully.
Step 3 of 5
Now add the sliced potato to the bowl and mix around well. Transfer the potatoes to a casserole dish in layers.
Step 4 of 5
Bake the dish in the oven for 50 minutes before serving covered with baking parchment and foil.
Step 5 of 5
Remove the parchment and foil, cover with the remaining cheddar cheese and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
