  • 1 medium red onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium white onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium egg, lightly beaten
  • 30grams plain flour
  • 1teaspoons chilli flakes
  • 1teaspoons paprika
  • 1teaspoons garlic powder

Spicy rostis with plenty of crunch.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Peel and grate the sweet potato. Combine in a bowl with the rest of the ingredients.

Step 2 of 4

Heat up a suitable pan for shallow frying to a high heat but not bubbling.

Step 3 of 4

Now divide your potato mixture into 4 patties and pack together tightly. Shallow fry the rostis for 4 minutes on each side.

Step 4 of 4

Place on a plate with some kitchen roll to drain the excess liquid before serving.
