Description
This cheesy leek gratin is a delicious side dish to serve alongside roast chicken.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C. Place the leeks in a steamer and steam for 6 minutes until a little tender.
Step 2 of 3
Heat the butter in a saucepan and stir in the flour. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring to combine and gradually add the milk, stirring all the time. Cook for 2-3 minutes until thickened. Add the grated cheddar and mustard and cook for 1 minute, until melted.
Step 3 of 3
Add the leeks to the cheese sauce and pour into an ovenproof dish. Scatter with grated parmesan and cook for 20 minutes until bubbling.
