  • 1teaspoons sea salt flakes
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 5 sprig thyme
  • 6 corella pears, halved lengthways

Description

Give this luxurious pork roast recipe a try. Juicy pork shoulder is served with roasted honey pears. This dinner is sure to impress the family.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced. Remove pork from packaging and discard netting. Place pork on a large greased baking tray with sides. Pat skin dry with paper towels. Drizzle pork with oil and rub with salt. Roast for 1 hour or until skin is golden and crisp.

Meanwhile, combine honey, vinegar, thyme and 1/2 cup water in a small jug.

Step 3 of 4

Remove tray from oven. Using a large spoon, carefully skim and discard any excess fat from tray. Add pears, cut-sides down, to tray and drizzle with honey mixture. Reduce oven temperature to 200°C/180°C fan-forced.

Step 4 of 4

Bake for a further 45 minutes or until pork is cooked through and pears are tender. Cover loosely with foil and rest for 20 minutes. Slice. Serve pork with pears and pan juices.
