  • 2tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 500grams Woolworths cracked black pepper & wagyu beef sausages
  • 350grams Woolworths bolognese base mix (see Tip in step 1)
  • 500grams Macro Organic bolognese chunky pasta sauce
  • 400grams canned cannellini beans, rinsed, drained
  • 1/4 bunch continental parsley, leaves picked, chopped, plus extra to serve
  • 475grams Woolworths classic potato mash

Description

Looking for an easy one-pot dinner? Try this sausage and bean casserole recipe – it's a speedy weeknight meal that's on the table in 30 minutes.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add sausages and cook, turning, for 5 minutes or until browned all over. Transfer to a plate. Add bolognese base mix to pan and cook, stirring, for 7 minutes or until softened.
Instruction tip

Bolognese base mix is a diced fresh vegetable mix made up of carrot, onion and celery. Find it in the fresh vegetable section.

Step 2 of 4

Cut sausages into 2cm-thick pieces, then return to pan with pasta sauce, beans, 1 cup water and parsley. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until sauce has thickened and sausages are cooked through.

Step 3 of 4

Meanwhile, heat mash according to packet instructions. Spoon into a bowl and season with pepper.

Step 4 of 4

Sprinkle casserole with extra parsley and serve with mash.
