Description

Looking for frighteningly fun Halloween food ideas? Try putting together this Halloween platter that's loaded with treats such as tombstone dippers to zombie wafers.

Method

Step 1 of 6

To make the straw-boo-rry ghosts, dip strawberries three-quarters of the way into chocolate. Transfer to a baking paper-lined tray. Use remaining chocolate to attach chocolate chips to strawberries to create eyes and mouths. Refrigerate until set.

Step 2 of 6

To make the tombstone dippers, place chocolate in a snap-lock bag and snip off the tip of one corner. Pipe chocolate onto 1 side of biscuits to decorate. Set aside for 30 minutes or until set.

Step 3 of 6

To make the zombie wafer, tint chocolate with food colouring. Half-dip wafers in chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Dip chocolate end into sprinkles. Place on a baking paper-lined tray. Decorate with candy eyes. Use remaining chocolate to decorate wafers as desired. Refrigerate until set.

Step 4 of 6

To make the chocolate graveyard dip, place biscuits in a food processor and process until fine crumbs form. Transfer to a bowl. Place cream cheese, chocolate, sugar, vanilla and cream in a clean food processor and process until smooth and combined. Transfer to a serving bowl and smooth top. Sprinkle over biscuit crumbs and decorate with sour worms.

Step 5 of 6

To make the apple vampires, cut a lengthways wedge into skin side of apple to create a mouth. Repeat with remaining apples. Brush cut sides of apple with lemon juice. Place strawberries on bottom of cut-outs to create tongues. Insert 5-6 slivered almonds into tops and bottoms of cut-outs to create teeth.

Step 6 of 6

Assemble items on a serving platter, decorate with extra sour worms and serve.
