  • 340grams Woolworths stone baked sourdough baguette, cut diagonally into 1cm-thick slices

  • 200grams creamy blue cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 2tablespoons honey

Description

Inspired by the iconic floating pear scene from Star Wars, this is a delicious, take on a toasty treat. Pear, blue cheese and walnut create a divine topping to level up your afternoon snack or beautiful brunch.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Stir sugar and ¼ cup boiling water in a small bowl until sugar has dissolved. Add vinegar and stir to combine. Set aside for 15 minutes or until cooled completely. Add pear and turn to coat. Set aside for 15 minutes to pickle.

Step 2 of 3

Heat a greased barbecue grill or chargrill pan over medium-high heat. Spray bread with oil. Cook, in 2 batches, for 2 minutes on each side or until charred and toasted.

Step 3 of 3

Top bread slices with cheese, pickled pear and walnuts. Serve drizzled with honey.
