- 1/2teaspoons Woolworths ground turmeric
- 20grams baby rocket leaves, chopped
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1 1/2teaspoons dried yeast
- 1 1/2teaspoons sea salt flakes
- 3teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup beetroot juice
- 5mL extra virgin olive oil cooking spray
- 1teaspoons Woolworths sesame seeds
- 1teaspoons poppy seeds
Description
Add a dash of artistic beauty to your festive spread this summer with tasty, easy-to-make grissini in ombré hues.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Whisk turmeric and ¼ cup warm water in a jug. Process rocket with ⅓ cup water until smooth, then pour into a separate jug.
Step 2 of 4
Grease and line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Combine ⅔ cup flour, ½ tsp yeast, ½ tsp salt and 1 tsp oil in a large bowl. Add juice and stir to combine. With clean hands, bring together into a dough, adding an extra teaspoon or two of juice if necessary. Knead gently until smooth. Set aside.
Step 3 of 4
Add ⅔ cup flour, ½ tsp yeast, ½ tsp salt and 1 tsp oil to the bowl. Stir to combine. Add turmeric mixture and stir to combine. With clean hands, bring together into a dough, adding an extra teaspoon or two of water if necessary. Knead gently until smooth. Set aside. Repeat with the remaining flour, yeast, salt, oil and rocket mixture. Set dough balls aside for 30 minutes to rest.
Step 4 of 4
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Divide each dough into 8 portions. Roll out each portion into thin logs about 25cm-long. Place on prepared trays. Spray with oil. Sprinkle rocket logs with sesame seeds, then sprinkle turmeric logs with poppy seeds. Bake for 10 minutes or until dry to touch. Set aside to cool completely.
