  • 600grams napa cabbage kimchi, finely chopped, include juice
  • 600grams pork shoulder, cut into small cubes
  • 4tablespoons gochujang
  • 2teaspoons sugar
  • 2L water
  • 2tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 green onions, finely chopped

Description

This spicy and tangy Korean soup is made more substantial with pork. It is typically served with hot rice and vegetable side dishes.

Method

Step 1 of 2

In a heavy bottomed pot, combine the kimchi, pork shoulder, gochujang and sugar. Tip in the water and bring to boil over high heat. Cook for 30 minutes.

Step 2 of 2

Season with soy sauce and take off heat. Top with green onions.
