Description
Everything bagels are the perfect vessel for all kinds of savoury fillings and the seasoning is simple to make at home.
Method
Step 1 of 5
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C. Mix the flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a large bowl. Make a well in the centre and pour in 300ml of warm water. Mix to form a dough.
Step 2 of 5
Tip the dough on to a lightly floured work surface and knead for 6-7 minutes until stretchy and smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp tea towel and leave to rise for 1 hour, until doubled in size.

Knock back the dough and knead for 2-3 minutes. Divide into 8 balls, make a hole in the centre of each with your finger and place on an oiled baking sheet. Cover with a damp towel and leave to rise for 30 minutes.
Step 4 of 5
Bring a large pan of water to the boil and drop each bagel in, cooking for 30 seconds on each side. Remove, drain well and place on a lined baking sheet.
Step 5 of 5
Mix the seasoning ingredients together in a small bowl. Brush each bagel with egg yolk and sprinkle seasoning generously on top. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
