  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2tablespoons maple syrup
  • 3 medium bananas, peeled & sliced lengthways
  • 50grams brown sugar
  • 6tablespoons unsalted butter

Description

This indulgent sweet and sticky dessert, is an even more indulgent breakfast.

Method

Step 1 of 6

In a mixing bowl, crack and beat the eggs with the milk and vanilla extract and set to one side.

Step 2 of 6

Heat up a pan to a medium heat, add 3 tablespoons of butter with the brown sugar and fry for 3 minutes until the butter and sugar has melted.

Step 3 of 6

Place the sliced bananas into the pan and cook for 2 minutes ensuring the bananas are all equally covered. Then remove from the pan and set to one side.

Step 4 of 6

Now place the bread into the egg mixture and allow to soak up the mixture and flip over to ensure all areas are covered.

Step 5 of 6

Now place some butter onto the pan and fry the French toast for 3 minutes on each side.

Step 6 of 6

Serve the French toast with the caramelised bananas drizzled with maple syrup.
