- 45grams butter
- 5grams active yeast
- 50grams sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1tablespoons vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup plant based milk, slightly warmed
- 2 medium eggs, cracked and seperated
- 50grams chocolate spread

Description
This babka is a rich and chocolatey treat.
Method
Step 1 of 5
Pre-heat the oven to 160°C. Dissolve the yeast in the warmed milk and 1 tsp of sugar. Stir until fully dissolved and set aside.
Step 2 of 5
Cream the butter together with the rest of the sugar in another mixing bowl. Mix in the yeast and once its all combined fully, allow to sit for 2 hours covered.

Sprinkle some flour on a dry and clean counter top and roll out your dough as much as possible. Now evenly spread the chocolate spread over one side. Then roll the entire dough spread into 1 long roll.
Step 4 of 5
Twist the dough around a few times, then fold in half and plaid the 2 sticks together. Place some baking paper into a suitable baking dish and place the babka. Lightly brush some egg whites over the top.
Step 5 of 5
Bake for 20 minutes, then turn the babka over, brush again with more egg whites and bake for another 20 minutes before serving.
