  • 6 candy canes
  • 150milliliter Devondale thickened cream
  • 2 drops peppermint essence
  • 300grams good quality dark chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 50grams Devondale unsalted butter

Description

You won’t believe how easy it is to make these delicious chocolate truffles.

Method

Step 1 of 6

Step One

Crush the candy canes in a mortar and pestle or food processor. Set aside.

Step 2 of 6

Bring a saucepan of water to the boil. Remove from heat.

Step 3 of 6

Place a heatproof bowl over the top and add the cream and mint essence.

Step 4 of 6

Step Two

Add choc pieces and butter and set aside until the chocolate melts. Stir well to combine. Leave it to cool.

Step 5 of 6

Pour into a flat container (a plastic takeaway container is ideal) and refrigerate.

Step 6 of 6

Scoop into small balls and roll gently in the crushed candy canes.
