5 Ingredients

  • 1tablespoons pickling spices
  • 2 cup white vinegar
  • 3 cup vegetables (carrot, cucumber, cabbage), whole or peeled into ribbons
  • 2tablespoons rock salt
  • 2tablespoons caster sugar

Method

Step 1 of 2

Place vinegar, sugar, salt and 2 cups water in a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to the boil to dissolve sugar and salt. Remove pan from heat and allow to cool to room temperature.

Step 2 of 2

Fill jars with spices and vegetables, then pour over cooled liquid to completely cover vegetables. Seal with lids, place in the fridge and allow to pickle for at least 2 days and up to 2 months.
