Description
Mysore pak with almonds is a fudge-like, lightly nutty Indian sweet treat.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Heat the ghee in a large saucepan until melted. Heat the sugar with 2 tablespoons of water in a saucepan and boil for 1 minute.
Step 2 of 3
Reduce the heat and add the ground almonds to the sugar syrup and mix well. Add a ladleful of melted ghee, mix well and repeat with ghee until the mixture doesn't absorb any more and is bubbling on the heat. This should take about 10 minutes.
Step 3 of 3
Stir in the cardamom powder, pour the mix into a parchment lined tin and smooth out with a spatula. Leave to cool for 15 minutes, slice and serve.
