  • 1 star anise
  • 1 cook In bag recipe base honey BBQ chicken
  • 1 pork belly
  • stir fry oriental vegetables (to serve)
  • 2tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2teaspoons sweet soy sauce
  • 250grams microwave white rice (to serve)

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 190°C. Place pork and star anise into the roasting bag. Add the Cook in Bag Recipe Base mix and close the bag, using the tie provided. Gently rotate until pork is coated evenly with recipe base mix.

Step 2 of 4

Place pork in bag onto a baking tray. Using a fork pierce top of bag. Cook for 50 minutes or until pork is cooked through.

Step 3 of 4

Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove pork from bag, reserving meat juices. Slice pork. Place sliced pork on a baking tray lined with non-stick baking paper. Grill pork until golden brown and crisp.

Step 4 of 4

Meanwhile pour reserved meat juices into a saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and soy sauce. Bring to the boil then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes or until sauce has thickened slightly. Remove star anise and discard. Serve sauce drizzle over pork.
