Method
Step 1 of 4
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Grease a 20cm round (3cm deep) fluted tart pan. Line base and side with 1 pastry sheet, trimming excess. Refrigerate for 20 minutes or until chilled.
Step 2 of 4
Prick pastry base with a fork. Line with baking paper and fill with pie weights or uncooked rice. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove weights and paper. Return to oven for 10 minutes or until pastry is light golden. Set aside to cool.
Step 3 of 4
Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook bacon, stirring, for 5 minutes or until crisp. Transfer bacon to pastry case. Scatter over onion and cheese.
Step 4 of 4
Whisk cream, eggs and mustard powder in a large jug until smooth and combined. Season. Pour egg mixture into pastry case. Bake for 30 minutes or until just set. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes. Serve quiche, warm or at room temperature, with salad.
