  • 1tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 4tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 100grams sultanas
  • 4tablespoons flaked almonds

Description

This simple brussels sprout side dish is the perfect blend of sweet and savoury flavours.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Heat a drizzle of the oil in a large pan on medium heat and cook the shallots for 6-7 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Tip in the sultanas, honey and balsamic vinegar and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring.

Step 2 of 3

Cook the brussels sprouts in a large pan of salted water for 5 minutes, or until tender. Drain well and tip into the shallot mix. Toss well to coat and cook on medium heat for 2 minutes, adding a little water if necessary.

Step 3 of 3

Serve with flaked almonds on top.
