- 700grams chunky pasta sauce
- 1 brown onion, diced
- 500grams spiral pasta
- 1 cup mozzarella, shredded
- 1tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup basil leaves, firmly packed, roughly chopped
- 400grams beef and lamb meatballs
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed

Method
Step 1 of 4
Preheat oven to 200°C. Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water following packet directions. Drain.
Step 2 of 4
Meanwhile, heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes or until soft. Add meatballs to pan and cook, turning, for 8 minutes or until meatballs are well browned.
Step 3 of 4
Pour in sauce and 1 cup water, then bring to the boil. Stir in basil. Season.
Step 4 of 4
Transfer pasta to a 12-cup capacity baking dish. Add meatballs and sauce and stir to combine. Sprinkle with mozzarella. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese has melted, then serve.
