  • 2 cup Woolworths cloudy pear juice
  • 1 1/2tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2teaspoons Masterfoods mixed spice
  • 1 vanilla bean, halved lengthways
  • 4 packham pears (ripe)
  • 2 cup no-fat Greek-style yoghurt
  • 1 cup Woolworths honey & cinnamon toasted muesli

Description

Simple and elegant, this poached pear recipe makes a scrumptious dessert. Creamy yoghurt and toasted muesli pair perfectly with fragrant poached pears.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Place pear juice, maple syrup, mixed spice and 2 cups water in a medium saucepan. Scrape vanilla seeds from the pod. Add both seeds and pod to saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat.

Step 2 of 3

Peel and halve pears, leaving stems attached. Add pears to liquid and add more water, if needed, to cover. Cover surface with a round of baking paper (cut to the size of saucepan). Cover with lid, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes or until pears are tender. Drain, reserving 1/3 cup cooking liquid.

Step 3 of 3

Divide yoghurt among bowls. Top with pears and muesli. Drizzle with reserved cooking liquid and serve.
