- 1 green cabbage, cut into 6 wedges, cores intact
- 3tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 salt
- 1 pepper
- 4tablespoons natural peanut butter, melted
- 2tablespoons soy sauce
- 2tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 stalk lemongrass, minced finely
- 1teaspoons garlic and ginger paste
- 3tablespoons water, hot
- 4tablespoons salted peanuts, chopped
Description
If you've never had grilled cabbage before you'll never want to eat it any other way after you've had a taste of this flavour packed recipe.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Heat the grill to medium high for 10 minutes. Add the cabbage to a plate or tray brushing the cabbage with sesame oil and seasoning before adding the cabbage to the grill. Cook on each side for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables have softened and charred on the outside.
Step 2 of 3
Whisk the peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, lemongrass, garlic and ginger paste, and hot water together until the sugar had dissolved.
Step 3 of 3
Arrange the cabbage onto a platter spooning the peanut sauce over the grilled cabbage, garnishing with chopped peanuts.
