Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 180°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.

Step 2 of 4

Beat butter and sugar until pale and creamy. Add milk and vanilla and beat until combined. Sift flour and custard over butter mixture. Using a metal spoon, stir in until well combined.

Step 3 of 4

Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls. Place onto prepared baking trays, leaving 5cm between for spreading. Press dough with floured fork. Bake for 20 minutes or until light golden.

Step 4 of 4

Stand on trays before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
