  • 1tablespoons icing sugar pure
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 multix cake decoration piping bags
  • 60grams spreadable cream cheese
  • 200grams ready to roll white fondant icing
  • 365grams red velvet packet cupcake mix
  • coloured writing icing
  • candy eyeballs
  • multix patty pans mini coloured

Method

Step 1 of 5

Preheat oven to 180°C. Line two 12-hole muffin trays with paper cases. Prepare red velvet packet cupcake mix as per packet instructions. Bake cupcakes. Cool completely.

Step 2 of 5

Fit a piping bag with a small, plain nozzle. Fill the bag with 1/2 cup IXL Strawberry Jam. Push nozzle into tops of cooled cupcakes and squeeze in about 2 tsp of jam. Let some overflow and spread over tops of cakes.

Knead 400g White Fondant Icing until smooth. Roll out on a clean surface dusted with icing sugar. Use a round cutter to cut out tops for cupcakes. Using a small, sharp knife, cut out eyes and mouths from half the icing rounds.

Step 4 of 5

To decorate, use the coloured writing icing multipack to make ghoulish faces.

Step 5 of 5

Place icing rounds on top of cakes, pressing down gently.
