  • 2 sheet frozen butter puff pastry
  • 40grams butter
  • 2 royal gala apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2tablespoons maple syrup

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 200°C. Line with baking paper.

Step 2 of 4

Cut 4x12cm rounds from each sheet of pastry and place onto baking paper. Prick pastry with a fork. Bake for about 10 minutes or until well risen and golden. Set aside to cool.

Step 3 of 4

Place butter, maple syrup and lemon juice into a pan and heat gently, stirring frequently, until well combined. Add apple slices and sauté for 4-5 mins until beginning to caramelise.

Step 4 of 4

Put a pastry round onto a baking sheet, cover with apple and top with a second pastry round. Repeat. Drizzle with apple juices from pan. Serve with cream.
