Description

Warm up on chilly winter mornings with this creamy almond, vanilla and cinnamon porridge. Top with stewed honey-cinnamon apples for some extra warmth.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Place apple, honey, cinnamon and 1 tbs water in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for 3 minutes or until combined and mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes or until apple is tender.

Step 2 of 3

Meanwhile, place oats and milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until mixture comes to the boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring, for 4 minutes or until porridge has thickened, adding more milk, if necessary.

Step 3 of 3

Divide porridge among serving bowls. Top with apple mixture. Serve immediately.
