  • 440grams chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 113grams salted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 65grams pecans, toasted and chopped
  • 100grams flaked coconut, toasted
  • 60milliliter coconut whipped cream (to serve)

Description

A rich and decadent chocolate and coconut dessert, minus the effort.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Lightly grease a baking pan. Mix cake mix, coconut milk, melted butter and eggs together in a large bowl. Add pecans and 1/2 cup coconut; stir until well combined.

Step 2 of 3

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle evenly with the remaining 1/2 cup coconut.

Step 3 of 3

Bake for 23 to 26 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the centre comes out clean. Cool completely before serving. Top with coconut whipped cream.
