- 50grams lean beef mince
- 1kilograms brown onions-peeled and sliced
- 1teaspoons dried thyme
- 50milliliter red wine
- 50grams tomato paste
- 2teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2tablespoons chopped fresh chives or 1 of dry
- 2tablespoons barbeque sauce
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 2tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove garlic-peeled and minced
- 2 cups rich brown gluten free gravy (made from mix)
Description
Delicious and great for a family dinner or on a cold night, serve it with creamy mash (made with soy milk & nuttelex)and veggies- Yum.
Instruction tip
Serve with a creamy mash, silverbeet is nice stir fried with lemon and garlic and salt and black pepper, and steamed carrots.
Method
Step 1 of 9
Heat a large frypan with the olive oil.
Step 2 of 9
Throw in the sliced onion and sauté it until caramelised and softened.
Step 3 of 9
Add the thyme and garlic.
Step 4 of 9
Add the red wine and the made up gravy and simmer for a few minutes on low light.
Step 5 of 9
Make the rissoles, combine the meat, tomato paste, sauces and seasoning and the chives.
Step 6 of 9
Form into patties.
Step 7 of 9
Heat another frypan or grill plate.
Step 8 of 9
Fry off the rissoles on both sides until browned and cooked through.
Step 9 of 9
Pour over the onion gravy and simmer for a couple of mins.
