  • 2teaspoons pure icing sugar
  • 25grams butter
  • 1 small red apple, thinly sliced into rounds
  • 1teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 220°C. Grease an 18cm base x 4cm deep pie dish. Place into oven for 5-7 minutes or until hot.

Meanwhile, process sugar, spice, eggs, milk, flour and vanilla in a food processor until well combined and frothy.

Step 3 of 4

Add butter to heated pan and return to oven for 2-3 minutes or until bubbling.

Step 4 of 4

Carefully pour mixture into hot pie dish and top with apple. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until puffed, golden and just set. Serve dusted with icing sugar.
