  • 1tablespoons ginger & garlic paste
  • 1teaspoons turmeric powder
  • 1/2-1tablespoons chilli powder
  • 1tablespoons fennel seed powder , coarsely ground
  • 1/2 cup curry leaves
  • 1tablespoons salt
  • 50milliliter canola oil

Try this delicious recipe to liven up those potatoes on the side.

Method

Step 1 of 6

Heat a large non stick wok/pan to medium heat, add in the oil.

Step 2 of 6

Once the oil is hot enough, add in the potatoes. Keep frying them for about 5 - 7 mins.

Step 3 of 6

Add in the ginger & garlic paste (you may also use finely minced ginger & garlic). Continue frying the potatoes for another 5 -10 mins or until they are golden brown.

Step 4 of 6

Add in the turmeric, salt and chili powder, continue frying them till fully cooked and well coated with the seasoning. You may use paprika if you want it less spicy!

Step 5 of 6

Finally add in the coarsely ground fennel seeds and curry leaves. Combine well and fry for just about 2 - 3 mins.
