  • 500grams pizza dough
  • 2tablespoons pizza sauce
  • 2/3 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 40grams sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup pitted mixed marinated olives, halved
  • 1/3 cup sliced roasted capsicum
  • 1/4 bunch oregano, leaves picked

Description

Between the crispy pizza dough, sliced pepperoni, roasted capsicum, oregano and melted mozzarella, you'll have a strong contender for a dinner-party favourite.

Step 1 of 3

Prepare dough following packet instructions.

Grease a 5.5L slow cooker. Line base and side with 2 layers of baking paper in a criss-cross formation, allowing paper to extend 2cm over side of slow cooker. Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to create a 25x30cm oval shape. (Measure your slow cooker and amend if needed.) Place dough in prepared slow cooker, pressing into the base.

Leaving a 2cm border, spread pizza base with sauce. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella. Top with pepperoni, olives and capsicum. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella. Lay a tea towel on top of slow cooker, then cover with lid. Fold up overhanging tea towel so it sits on lid without hanging down the sides of slow cooker. Cover. Cook on high for 1 hour 30 minutes (or on low for 3 hours), or until pizza base is golden underneath. Use paper handles to transfer pizza to a board. Sprinkle with oregano and cut into pieces. Serve.
