- 2 large onions, finely diced
- 1kilograms beef chuck (or similar cheaper cut is best)
- 1tablespoons garlic crushed
- 2tablespoons ginger grated
- 1teaspoons turmeric
- 3/4tablespoons mild chilli (like kashmiri chilli)
- 1tablespoons ground coriander
- 1/2tablespoons ground cumin
- 3teaspoons garam masala
- 2-3tablespoons oil
- 1 cup stock
- 3 ripe tomatoes, diced
- 5 large potatoes, diced
- 1/2 bunch coriander

Description
A very flavour filled & hearty curry that's also budget friendly.
Instruction tip
Serve with basmati rice, yogurt & flatbread.
Method
Step 1 of 6
Place your diced beef and spices in a ziplock bag. Shake coating all the beef and set aside at room temperature.
Step 2 of 6
Heat pan on medium to sauté your onions for a few minutes. Add garlic and ginger and cook through for another couple of minutes.
Step 3 of 6
Add your diced meat, sealing it by stirring regularly. This process is done once all your beef has browned.
Step 4 of 6
Add your diced tomatoes and 1 cup of stock. Stir through, cover and simmer on very low for 1 1/2 hours. If your pan looks like it's getting a little dry, add a little stock or water.
Step 5 of 6
Add your large diced potatoes, give it a stir to coat. Cover and cook on a low simmer for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. If your pan is looking a bit dry, add a little stock or water.
Step 6 of 6
Turn heat off and stir in your preferred herb.
