  • 400grams Woolworths Greek-style feta
  • 1 bunch radish, half of the leaves reserved
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 punnet lemon thyme, sprigs separated
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup Woolworths breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Woolworths pure honey

Description

Pan-fried to golden perfection and drizzled with a sweet and spicy peppered honey glaze, this festive feta appetiser will elevate any summer gathering.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Cut feta horizontally. Place on a sheet of paper towel and pat dry to remove any liquid. Cut half of the radish into quarters. Thinly slice remaining radish. Refresh reserved radish leaves in a bowl of iced water. Remove and pat dry.

Step 2 of 4

Heat 1 tbs oil in a large non-stick frying pan over low heat. Add radish quarters and cook, turning occasionally, for 3 minutes. Add thyme and cook for a further 2 minutes or until radish is light golden. Transfer to a plate.

Step 3 of 4

Place flour on a small plate. Beat egg in a small bowl. Place breadcrumbs on a small plate. Working with 1 piece of feta at a time, press feta into flour to lightly coat. Dip into egg, then press into breadcrumbs to coat. Repeat with remaining feta. Heat remaining oil in the frying pan over medium heat. Cook feta, in batches, for 3 minutes each side or until golden.

Step 4 of 4

Heat honey and 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper in a small saucepan over low heat for 3 minutes or until runny. Arrange feta, cooked radish and sliced radish on a serving platter. Drizzle with honey mixture. Scatter with radish leaves to serve.
