  • 40grams unsalted butter, melted
  • 12 large green banana prawns, tails intact
  • 1 nori sheet
  • 1/4 cup Japanese mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2tablespoons white miso paste
  • 2teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 2teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 2teaspoons Sriracha chilli sauce

Method

Step 1 of 5

Cut nori sheet in half, then into 12 equal strips. Wrap 1 nori strip around centre of each prawn, wetting ends to seal.

Step 2 of 5

In a small bowl, combine butter, miso and sesame seeds. Brush both sides of prawns with half the butter mixture.

Step 3 of 5

Mix chilli sauce and mayonnaise together in a bowl.

Step 4 of 5

Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook prawns for 2 minutes on each side or until they change colour and are crisp and golden.

Step 5 of 5

Drizzle remaining miso butter into pan and remove from heat. Pile prawns onto a serving platter and serve with chilli mayonnaise.
