  • 4 sheets puff pastry, partially thawed
  • 450grams American style coleslaw kit
  • 1/3 cup bread and butter pickles

Description

Craving beef brisket? Try using it as a pie filling! Use your pie-maker to create mini brisket pies and serve them with coleslaw for a fun family meal.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Pierce flat side of brisket bag twice, then place in a microwave-safe dish, reserving sauce sachet. Microwave on high for 12 minutes. Stand for 2 minutes. Remove brisket from bag, discarding cooking juices, and place in a bowl. Using 2 forks, shred brisket. Add reserved sauce sachet, then stir until well combined.

Meanwhile, using both small and large pie-maker cutters, cut 8 large and 8 small rounds from pastry sheets. Gently ease 4 large pastry rounds into pie maker holes. Divide half of the brisket mixture among pie holes. Top with 4 small pastry rounds. Close and turn on pie maker, then cook for 10 minutes or until pies are golden. Repeat with remaining pastry and brisket.

Make coleslaw according to packet instructions. Season pies with pepper and serve with pickles and coleslaw.
