  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1 leek, cut up
  • 3 potatoes diced
  • 1/2teaspoons salt
  • 1/4teaspoons pepper
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2/3 cup egg wash
  • 2 sheets shortcrust pastry
  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 1/4 cup plain flour (chicken coating)
  • 1 can carnation condensed milk light (or normal)

A delicious family pie with chicken, leek and veggies.

Method

Step 1 of 10

Prep 30 mins Cook 50 mins Preheated oven 180g Spray a pie dish with cooking spray

Step 2 of 10

In a saucepan, combine chicken coated with the flour, carrots, peas and celery and potato and leek and salt and pepper.

Step 3 of 10

Add the chicken stock and the carnation milk put a lid on

Step 4 of 10

Simmer till sauce thickens Let it cool down

Step 5 of 10

Once filling is cool Prepare the frozen pastry in the sprayed pie dish.

Step 6 of 10

Blind bake the short crust in the pie dish with baking paper and baking beads for 15 mins

Step 7 of 10

Once out of the oven put the pie filling into the dish

Step 8 of 10

Top with the puff pastry egg wash and get a fork and make some air holes.

Step 9 of 10

Bake for 50 mins till nice golden brown

Step 10 of 10

Let it cool down and service with a salad
