  • 1/2 cup parmesan
  • 500grams tomato pasta sauce
  • 250grams beef mince
  • 1tablespoons sage
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)

Description

With just three easy steps, this creative recipe puts a new twist on the traditional lasagne. It's cheesy, rich and fresh, like any lasagne should be!

Method

Step 1 of 3

Heat oil in a large heavy-based saucepan over high heat. Cook mince, breaking up lumps with a wooden spoon, for 5 minutes or until browned. Add onion, celery and carrot, then cook, stirring often, for 5 minutes. Add garlic, sage and tomato paste, then cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until fragrant. Add sauce, stock and 3 cups water, then season. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.

Step 2 of 3

Break fettuccine in half and add to soup. Cook, stirring often, for 12 minutes or until tender. Stir through chopped basil.

Step 3 of 3

Ladle soup into bowls. Serve topped with extra basil and parmesan.
