- 6 sheet fresh lasagne
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 bunch basil, leaves removed
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 red onion, grated
- 100grams button mushroom, sliced
- 1 cup parmesan, finely grated
- 500grams fresh ricotta
- 1 cup mozzarella, grated
- 500grams pork and veal mince
- 700grams tomato passata sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed

Method
Step 1 of 4
Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a deep 12-cup capacity baking dish.
Step 2 of 4
Combine mince, onion, carrot, mushroom and garlic in a bowl. Roughly chop half the basil, add to bowl with mince and mix together well. Combine ricotta and milk in a separate bowl.
Step 3 of 4
Spread 1/2 cup passata over base of dish. Layer 2 lasagne sheets over passata, cutting to fit if necessary, then spread over a third each of mince mixture, remaining passata, ricotta and parmesan. Repeat layers twice more. Sprinkle over mozzarella.
Step 4 of 4
Cover dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and cook for 30 minutes or until cheese is golden. Garnish with remaining basil.
