  • 1 carrot, cut into matchsticks
  • 2/3 cup coriander leaves
  • 1 cucumber, halved lengthways, deseeded, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves, torn
  • 1/2teaspoons garam masala
  • 2tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 80grams baby spinach leaves (see Tip)
  • 450grams beef rump steak, fat trimmed
  • 2tablespoons olive oil
  • 2tablespoons sultanas

Method

Step 1 of 3

Place lemon juice and 11/2 tbs oil in a large bowl. Add sultanas and set aside.

Meanwhile, drizzle remaining oil over beef. Sprinkle with garam masala and sesame seeds. Rub to coat. Heat a medium frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook beef for 3-4 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking. Thinly slice.

Step 3 of 3

Add beef, spinach, coriander, mint, carrot, cucumber and pappadum to bowl with sultana dressing. Season with salt and pepper. Toss to combine. Serve.
