- 2kilograms frozen basa fillets, thawed, patted dry with paper towel
- 1/2 cup cornflour
- 4 spring onions, chopped
- 1/2 bunch coriander, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 4centimeters piece ginger, finely grated
Description
Make dinnertime easy with this speedy and delicious fish-cake recipe that uses succulent basa fish fillets.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Place half of each ingredient in a food processor. Process until combined. Season. Transfer to a large bowl. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Shape ¼ cup of mixture into 36 cakes.
Step 2 of 3
Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Chill for 15 minutes.
Step 3 of 3
Shallow-fry as required in a frying pan over medium-high heat for 2 minutes each side or until golden brown.
Instruction tip
To freeze uncooked fish cakes, place on a baking paper-lined tray and freeze for 2 hours, then transfer to an airtight container for up to two months.
