  • 500grams diced venison, remove any fat
  • 1tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 medium white onion, peeled and chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium red capsicum, de-seeded and chopped
  • 1 medium green chilli, de-seeded and sliced
  • 1 medium red chilli, de-seeded and sliced
  • 400grams mixed beans, drained
  • 1 2/3 cup beef stock
  • 3/4 cup passata
  • 1tablespoons cumin

Description

A gamey and earthy tasting rich chilli dish.

Method

Step 1 of 6

Heat up a large saucepan to a medium heat and add the canola oil.

Step 2 of 6

Fry the onions, garlic, pepper and chillies for 4 minutes while tossing.

Step 3 of 6

Add the diced venison to the pan and fry while tossing for a further 4 minutes.

Step 4 of 6

Add the rest of the ingredients and lower to the heat to a simmer.

Step 5 of 6

While stirring occasionally, allow the entire dish to simmer for 20 minutes so that the sauce can reduce.

Step 6 of 6

Remove from the heat and suggested to serve with rice or naan breads.
