- 1 pinch pepper (to taste)
- 400grams round steak
- 2 potatoes, chopped
- 2 onions, chopped fine
- 1 celery, chopped fine
- 2 carrots, grated
- 1tablespoons parsley
- 2-3tablespoons water
- 1/3 cup tomato sauce
- 1teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pinch salt (to taste)
- 6 sheets short crust pastry, thawed
- 1 egg (for glazing pastry)

Description
These make a very tasty main meal - takes a bit of prep time but well worth the effort.
Method
Step 1 of 7
Preheat oven to 230 degrees C.
Step 2 of 7
Add all ingredients to bowl & mix well.
Step 3 of 7
Cut each pastry into 4 equal squares.
Step 4 of 7
Place spoonfuls of mixture into centre, making sure to keep each end free.
Step 5 of 7
Take two centre points & pinch together,making a crescent. Pinch a frill on both sides making sure mixture is pushed back into centre. Turn up both ends of pastry. Continue using this method until all mixture is used up.

Using a pastry brush glaze each pastie with egg glazing and place on baking tray.
Step 7 of 7
Bake at 230 degrees C for 10 minutes and at 190 degrees C for further 20 minutes.
