  • 1kilograms beef blade steak, large dice
  • 800grams tomatoes, diced
  • 4tablespoons tomato paste
  • 250milliliter red wine
  • 3 dash worcestershire sauce
  • 4 beef stock cubes
  • 200milliliter water, hot
  • 1tablespoons thyme
  • 1tablespoons basil
  • 1tablespoons oregano
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 3tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 2 red onions , diced
  • 1tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 chilli , diced

Description

This rich and flavoursome ragu is a winter warmer and people pleaser. The meat is fall apart tender and ready to cling to a pasta of your choosing

Method

Step 1 of 3

Heat olive oil in pan on a medium-high heat on stove. Quickly brown off diced beef in batches and add to slow cooker.

Step 2 of 3

Add all remaining ingredients and set slow cooker to 'low' setting for 8 hours, stirring occasionally. At 8 hour point, beef should be falling apart. Leave in longer for an even richer sauce. Serve with pasta of your choosing and fresh parmigiana cheese.

Step 3 of 3

In same pot, fry off the onion, garlic and chilli. Add to slow cooker. Add hot water and stock cubes to dissolve
