Dipping Sauce
- 4tablespoons Kikkoman Soy sauce
- 1tablespoons vinegar
- 1 dash chilli oil
Filling
- 1tablespoons Kikkoman Soy Sauce
- 400grams prawn meat
- 2 stalk spring onion, chopped
- 1 bunch coriander, chopped
- 20grams ginger, grated
- 2 clove garlic, grated
- 1tablespoons sake
- 1/2teaspoons salt
- 1/2tablespoons sesame oil
- 1tablespoons potato starch
- 1packets Gow gee pastry

Instruction tip
Note: A basic pork dumpling can be made by replacing the prawns with pork mince and using spring onion and coriander or 200g chopped cabbage and 50g of chopped Chinese chives.
Method
Step 1 of 8
Chop spring onion and coriander and place in a bowl
Step 2 of 8
Roughly chop raw prawn meat (roughly to add texture) and add to the bowl.

Add the remaining ingredients for the filling and mix well

Spoon 1.5 teaspoon of mixture onto the middle of the pastry

Wet the pastry edges with water and fold over to close and seal

Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large pan on medium-high heat
Step 7 of 8
Place dumplings in the pan and lightly press the pastry on the pan to sear until evenly brown, cook until bases are browned

Add 1/2 cup of water and put the pan lid on and cook for approximately 5 minutes until water has evaporated and a sizzling sound can be heard
